Bayan Konirbayev is a Chief Digital Officer at Almaty city, he is responsible for the development and implementation of digitalization strategy in Almaty city.
Before devoting his work fulltime to Almaty city government, Bayan served as Director of Business Transformation Department at National Atomic Company “Kazatomprom” in Kazakhstan (the biggest uranium company in the world), Deputy Director of International Business Development Department in HY/Tencent AI Lab in China (TOP10 world technology companies), Senior Sales Project Sales Supervisor of Global Business Investment Development Department at Bright Oceans Corporation in China (TOP500 Chinese companies) and Key Account Manager in International Department at Aeonmed Holding in China (TOP50 biggest manufacturers of life-supporting medical equipment in the world). He started his career as R&D engineer and has more than 10 years experience working in Africa, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, CIS countries, etc.
Bayan has written several articles published in the International Scientific Journals related to engineering development and remotely taught engineering management at the University of Jos (Nigeria).
He has graduated degree from Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunication (Kazakhstan), Tsinghua University (China), received his DBA degree from Swiss Business School (Switzerland) and remotely studying Post Graduate Diploma in Emeritus Institute in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Columbia Business School (USA).
Bayan has broad experience in engineering science, project and product management, marketing and sales.
