Biography

Dr. Rustam Shadiev is an esteemed professor in the College of Education at Zhejiang University, China. He embarked on his academic journey at Samarkand State University, Uzbekistan, where he completed both his undergraduate and graduate studies. His early career began as an Engineer-programmer at the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages in Uzbekistan, a role he held from 1998 to 2003.

In 2003, Dr. Shadiev transitioned to the international arena, working with the International Research and Exchange Board and the United Nations Development Program. He contributed significantly as a Program Officer and Field Coordinator in their School Connectivity Program until 2007. His pursuit of further academic excellence led him to Taiwan's National Central University, where he enrolled in a Ph.D. program.

After earning his doctorate, Dr. Shadiev continued to expand his research and academic influence as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Engineering Science, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. In 2016, he joined the School of Education Science at Nanjing Normal University, where he served as a professor until the end of 2022.

Dr. Shadiev's outstanding academic and research contributions have earned him several prestigious recognitions. In 2019, he was honored as a Distinguished Professor of Jiangsu Province, China. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. His significant impact in the field of Education was highlighted when he was named among the Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier, SCOPUS, and Shanghai Ranking consecutively in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

An accomplished author, Dr. Shadiev has published over 200 works in various academic journals and conferences. His research primarily focuses on advanced learning technologies, with a particular emphasis on supporting language learning and cross-cultural education. His work continues to influence and inspire educational practices and research across the globe.
