He graduated from high school in 1962.

In 1963 he entered the Kazakh State Agricultural Institute in the Faculty of Forestry and in 1968 completed the full course, was an engineer of forestry. After graduation he worked in 1968-1972 in the Urals branch "Kazgiprozem" as an engineer, senior engineer, team leader.
