Autobiography
Tyurnin Vladimir Alexandrovich, full member (academician) of the International Academy of Informatization (since 2026), Russian citizen, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, retired. Currently, he is an associate professor at the Private Educational Institution of Higher Education "Witte Moscow University" (Moscow, Russia).
He graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1979.
In 1987, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences in the specialty 08.00.01 Economic Theory (political Economy) at the Dissertation Council of Lomonosov Moscow State University. PhD thesis topic: "The need for labor as an economic category of socialism."
In 2005, after completing his studies, he was awarded the qualification of an economist with a degree in world economics at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
In 2012, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor at the Department of Economics of the Socio-Cultural Sphere.
In 2024, he was awarded the academic title of Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences for his achievements in scientific, scientific, pedagogical, administrative and managerial activities.
The total work experience is 51 years, including 33 years in the field of economics.
He started his career in 1979 as a lecturer at Syktyvkar State University, where he worked until 1982.
In 1982-1985– he was a postgraduate student at the Department of Political Economy of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
In 1986-1988, he was a senior researcher at the VNIITP of the USSR Ministry of Light Industry.
In 1988-1992– he was an acting associate professor at the Department of Economic Theory of the Moscow Institute of Economics of the Central Union of the USSR.
1992-2008 – Consultant, Deputy Head of the Department of the Permanent Mission of the Komi Republic in Moscow.
In 2002-2005, he attended the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (without interrupting his main work).
In 2008-2010, he was the Chief Specialist of the Committee on Northern Affairs and Indigenous Peoples of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
In 2010-2016, he was an associate professor at the Department of Economics of the Socio-Cultural Sphere of the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts.
In 2010-2019, he was an associate professor at the Finance Department of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, concurrently.
In 2021-2024, he was an employee, Head of the Labor Protection Department at the Serbsky Institute of Psychology and Narcology.
From 2024 to the present, he has been an associate professor at the S.Y. Witte Moscow University (Moscow, Russia), a private educational institution of higher Education.
He is the author of more than 50 published scientific and educational works, including monographs and foreign publications. The Hirsch index in the RSCI is 5.
He has a positive experience of expert work in the positions of consultant and Deputy Head of the Department of the Permanent Mission of the Komi Republic in Moscow (1992 - 2008), as well as Chief Specialist of the Committee on Northern Affairs and Small Peoples of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation (2008 – 2010).
In 2013, he was awarded a commendation by the Business Center of the Economic for the long-term contribution to the strengthening of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
He constantly improves his skills without interrupting his main activity.
He leads a healthy lifestyle and enjoys playing the accordion. Being retired, he continues to engage in teaching and research activities.
