BIOGRAPHY

Zabikh Sayat Kadyrzhanuly

Sayat Zabikh was born in 1991 in Aktobe. He received his secondary education at the UNESCO Associated School “BEST” in Almaty. In 2019, he graduated from Purdue University Northwest in the US with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his studies, he participated in applied engineering and scientific-technical projects focused on systems analysis, interdisciplinary integration, and the practical application of engineering solutions. He completed an industrial internship at the automotive company Dakkota Integrated Systems in Chicago, Illinois.

Since 2019, he has been engaged in professional engineering activity in the industrial sector of the United States. From September 2019 to December 2020, he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at New Products Corporation in Benton Harbor, Michigan. His professional responsibilities included RFQ analysis, maintenance of PFMEA, PCP, and PPAP documentation, as well as the design and optimization of manufacturing processes.

From December 2020 to January 2022, he held the position of Project Manager at the international company Bausch Advanced Technology in Clinton, Connecticut, where he managed automated engineering projects, coordinated FAT testing, and ensured compliance with FDA, GMP, and ISO regulatory requirements.

From January 2022 to May 2025, he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at the international company Silgan Dispensing Systems in Grandview, Missouri. His work was carried out in a high-speed, high-volume automated manufacturing environment regulated by FDA and ISO standards. His primary areas of responsibility included engineering support for operating production lines, solving complex mechanical problems, and improving equipment reliability, process repeatability, and product quality stability. The engineering solutions he developed—aimed at reducing manufacturing defects, optimizing costs, and increasing productivity—were implemented in the company’s production operations. He also carried out redesign of imported components to localize production in the United States, developed 3D models, engineering drawings, and specifications, and served as a mentor to engineers and technical staff.

Since June 2025, he has been working as a Manufacturing Engineer at the international company Wahl Clipper Corporation in Sterling, Illinois. His professional activities include the design and implementation of automated equipment, updating manufacturing system standards, collaboration with cross-functional teams during new product launches, and reduction of production risks.

The implemented engineering projects and innovative developments contributed to a significant increase in manufacturing capacity, reduction of defects and equipment downtime, and improvement in quality control accuracy and the reliability of mass production.

Sayat Zabikh’s research and academic activities include participation in the international engineering competition Shell Eco-Marathon Americas as an ASME design engineer and lead for mechanical design of a solar-powered electric vehicle. He has also conducted CFD studies of multiphase oil and gas flows in offshore pipelines using the ANSYS software package, aimed at assessing failure risks and improving the safety of underwater infrastructure. In addition, he carried out research in the field of human-centered design of pharmaceutical packaging for Eli Lilly, applying eye-tracking technologies, and provided instructional and methodological support to students of Purdue University Northwest in FEA, mechanics, and statics.

He successfully combines practical engineering work with research activity, publishing the results of applied engineering developments in scientific journals and participating in international scientific and practical conferences. His patent and innovation activities include the development of the digital platform “Wizzu” (U.S. provisional patent application No. 63/813,333, Patent Pending), focused on automated service matching, fixed pricing, and a scalable modular architecture, as well as the development of a bicycle with a flywheel-based electric power generation system (U.S. provisional patent application No. 63/828,254, Patent Pending), intended for industrial production in the United States.

He holds certificates in quality management tools PPAP, FMEA, and APQP (Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center, October 2019, no expiration) and has been a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) since 2025.
