Autobiography

Omarova Gulnara Magauvyanovna. I was born on February 14, 1969, in the village Antonyevka,  Altai region, Russia.  I am Kazakh. In 1991 I graduated from the Geological Prospecting Faculty of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute named after V.I. Lenin with a degree in Geological survey, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits, and I received the qualification of a mining engineer-geologist.

From December 2005 to the present, I have been teaching and  doing research activities at the KazNRTU named after K.I. Satpayev at the Department of Geological survey, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits. I have also obtained my Master's and Doctors degrees in the same University.

During my work at the Department of Geological survey, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits, I have issued more than 10 methodological guidelines for bachelors, published more than 35 scientific articles, the main results of the research are approved as reports at international and national scientific and practical conferences.

I teach in the following disciplines: "The basics of rock microscopy"; " Laboratory methods for Mineral Research"; "The basics of Subsoil Use"; "Petrography" and others.

Doctor PhD in specialty  "Geology and exploration of mineral deposits". I defended my doctoral dissertation on the topic: «Investigation of mineralogical criteria of  gold- metasomatic type deposits».

The area of ​​my research is: Study of the geological structure of host rocks and ore deposits;  the study of the rock and mineral composition of ore bodies, the identification of the main ore-forming minerals and patterns of their distribution, the forms of their occurrence using modern  microscopic methods; study of the chemical composition of ore and nonmetallic minerals, the nature of the distribution of trace impurities in them; determination of typomorphic features and properties of minerals and mineral associations.

From 2009 to the present I have been the executor of various scientific and technical programs and grant projects.
