Sources reported to the Nikkei Asian Review edition that Apple appealed to the suppliers to make less new iPhones next quarter. And it seems that the company already knew about the weak interest of clients still at the end of last year. Revision of production will concern all three new devices — iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.

In general decrease in production will be about 20% year on year in comparison with 52.2 million devices sold in the first quarter 2018, but the monetary effect can be other because of the updated retail prices for new smartphones.
